TRAIN THE RAIN.
I still struggle at the gym. It's a place where we can't hide from our inabilities, insecurities, and hurtful thoughts about ourselves. We have to face where we think we should be and we resent the times we didn't put in the effort. It reveals what we can't do; but also WHAT WE CAN -- what might be possible if we keep at it.
This morning was a good one. I did a big ole weighted vest workout in the rain -- being out in the elements moved me out of my head and into feeling powerful. As I work towards completing a canoe marathon in the fall the thought on my mind now is TRAIN THE RAIN. The times when I'd rather stay dry and warm in my comfort zone but choose to put in the work are the moments pushing me to this goal.
