Advanced Skills Course
Pre-requisites: Basic Skills or Equivalent Experience. An advanced skills course is recommended for anyone who has been paddleboarding and wants to master advanced paddle strokes, venture out in more challenging conditions, play with foot positions (use more space on the board, very fun), gain knowledge on board design, paddle more efficiently and powerfully, learn about risk assessment and management, conquer a pivot turn, and practice technique for paddling in waves. An advanced skills class can benefit paddlers wanting to do day trips and touring or racing, as well as folks who have never taken a lesson and don’t yet know what they don’t know. You’ll leave having unlocked new levels of fun and skill. Emphasis on skill development, keeping the paddle connected with the water, and movement all over the board. An advanced skills course is a requirement for any paddlers wishing to become Paddle Canada instructors.
